The seven services at a glance
Know what each service sells, how it is priced and where guests find it.
Your booking site can sell seven services. Each one is a different kind of trip, with its own rate card and its own way of working out a price.
The seven
| Service | What the guest books | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|
| One way | A drop in another city. The car comes back empty | A fixed fare per destination, or a price per km with a minimum |
| Outstation (round trip) | A car and driver out of town and back, one day or many | Per day, with km included each day, plus Driver allowance |
| Hourly | A car and driver in the city for a block of hours | One price per package, such as 8 hours and 80 km |
| Point to point | One drop across town | A base fare that covers some km, then a price per km |
| Local tour | A start, a few places to visit, and a drop. The car waits | Like point to point, on the whole loop, plus waiting by the hour |
| Airport | A pickup at the terminal, or a drop there | A flat fare per area, or a fare by distance |
| Tour packages | A planned tour of one day or more | One fixed price per car for the whole tour |
Where guests find each one
Your booking form puts the services in tabs. By default, the tabs are grouped:
| Service | Booking form tab |
|---|---|
| One way | Outstation, then One way |
| Outstation | Outstation, then Round trip |
| Point to point | Local, then Single drop |
| Local tour | Local, then the tour |
| Hourly | Local, then Hourly |
| Airport | Airport |
| Tour packages | Packages |
A group becomes one tab only when you sell at least two services in it. If you sell one way but not round trips, one way keeps a tab of its own.
Your site's pages use the words guests in your country search for. A round trip is Outstation, point to point is {guest_p2p}, and a local tour is Local sightseeing. Your dashboard uses the same names in every country.
Two kinds of switch
Five services are switched on city by city, under What you sell: One way, Outstation, Hourly, Point to point and Local tour. Tour packages has a switch there too.
Airport is not a city switch. Each airport is switched on by itself, under Where you sell, then Airports you serve.
A service that is on still needs a price. With no rate card, guests can only send you an enquiry for it.
Easy to mix up
- One way or point to point? Both are a single drop. One way goes to another city. Point to point stays inside your city. Lesson 2.2 and lesson 2.4.
- Hourly or local tour? Both are a day in the city. Hourly sells time. A local tour sells the places the guest names. Lesson 2.3.
- Local tour or tour package? A local tour is priced on the distance the guest drives. A tour package is your own plan, at your own fixed price. Lesson 2.6.

Common questions
Do I have to sell all seven?
No. Sell what you do. Your site shows only the services that are on and priced.
Can I call a service something else?
Yes. Lesson 2.7 shows how to rename services and change their order.
Can I have one tab per service?
Yes. Open Site editor, then Booking form, and pick One tab per service. With many services, the tabs wrap on a phone.
