Get started

Sign up and start your free trial

Get a PingTab account and a 7-day free trial. No card needed.

  1. On pingtab.com, click Start free.
  2. Type your name, email and a password, then click Create Account.
  3. Open the email from PingTab and click Verify Email.
  4. Click Continue to sign in, then sign in with the same email and password.
  5. Type your mobile number and click Start free trial.
  6. Type the 6-digit code from the SMS and click Activate Trial.

Your trial starts at once. PingTab then asks four questions to build your booking site.

Outside India there is no SMS code: click Activate trial and it starts.

No email? Check your spam folder, or click Resend verification email on the "Check your inbox" screen.

Plan: everyone. Next: Build your booking site in four questions.

Build your booking site in four questions

Answer four questions and PingTab builds your booking site: your cars, starter prices, a home page about your city and its own web address.

  1. After your trial starts, PingTab opens "Four questions, and we write the rest."
  2. In What guests should call you, type your business name.
  3. In The city you drive from, type your city and pick it from the list.
  4. Check Your WhatsApp number. It starts with the mobile you gave for the trial. Guests message you on it from your site. If guests should call a different number, untick Guests call this number too and type it.
  5. Under What you sell most, pick one: Trips out of town, Airport pickups, Tour packages or Local hire by the hour. It goes first on your site. You sell the rest too.
  6. Click Build my site.

PingTab shows each part as it is made. A few seconds later you see "Here is {your business name}." with your site beside it.

Nothing is charged. The site starts at a preview address that search engines skip, and the starter prices stay drafts until you read them.

Not ready? Click Skip for now. You can start the same site later from Sell, Site.

Plan: all plans (trial included). Next: Pick your look and go live.

Pick your look and go live

Choose how your site looks, pick the photo on its first screen, then put it live and get the link to share.

  1. On "Here is {your business name}.", find Make it yours.
  2. Under Pick your look, click one of the three pictures of your site. Click Show me another to see more looks.
  3. Click Pick your photo, then click a photo. Or click Text only to lead with your headline.
  4. Click Go live.

You will see "{your business name} is live" with your site's address and a WhatsApp message ready to send. Click Copy message to paste it into WhatsApp, or Go to Home to carry on.

Every step in Make it yours is optional. Your colour, headline, numbers and a review can wait: change them any time, then click Go live again.

Plan: all plans (trial included). Related: Build your booking site in four questions, Change your site's look.

Set and publish your rate card

Set what each car costs on your booking site. Once you publish, the next guest who asks for a fare gets your new price.

  1. Open Sell and click Rate cards.
  2. Click the card for the service, for example Outstation one way.
  3. Find the car (for example Sedan) and type your price in its Per km box. You can also set a Base fare and Min km (the guest pays for at least this many km).
  4. Click Publish.

You will see Start a new revision at the top of the card: your prices are live. Guests get them on their next quote. You do not need to publish your site again.

A published card is frozen, so a guest holding a quote keeps their price. To change a price later, click Start a new revision, change it, and publish again. Not ready yet? Click Save draft and come back.

Minimum notice: under Terms, "Minimum notice before pickup" stops guests booking a pickup too soon (1 hour unless you change it). They see the earliest time and your phone number instead.

Find your way around Home

Home shows what needs you today, so you can start each day there.

  1. Click Home at the top.
  2. The Run sheet lists today's bookings by pickup time. Each row says what it still needs: "Needs a driver", "No guest contact", "Not opened yet", or "Ready".
  3. The Now line marks the time. Bookings on the road or running late sit above it.
  4. Tomorrow's bookings sit below, under one line.
  5. The Inbox on the right lists guests waiting for your reply. Click Reply to answer one.
  6. To fix a row, click the button on it. On a booking with no driver, click Assign.

Assign opens that booking with the driver box ready. Click it to pick a driver from your list. Drivers who are free at that time come first.

On a phone or a narrow window, Home shows the same things as one list, "Needs you", sorted by what is due soonest.

Plan: everyone. Related: Create a booking on the dashboard, Send the driver their booking.

Drivers

Add a driver to your list

Save a driver once, then pick them by name on every booking.

  1. Click More in the top bar, then Contacts.
  2. Click Add driver (or Add your first driver when the list is empty).
  3. Type the driver's name and mobile number.
  4. If you know them, add their usual car and its number under "Their vehicle", and click each vehicle from your fleet they can drive.
  5. Click Add driver.

The driver's page opens with their details. "App" says Not invited until you send them the PingTab Driver app link (see "Invite your driver to the PingTab Driver app").

Already saved? If the number is on your list, PingTab says so and offers Open that driver.

Outside India, the driver's email is also required: they sign in to the driver app with it.

Plan: everyone. Next: Invite your driver to the PingTab Driver app.

Invite your driver to the PingTab Driver app

Send your driver the app link from your own WhatsApp. Once they install it and sign in with their number, their bookings reach them in the app and you stop paying for texts.

  1. Click More, then Contacts, and open the driver.
  2. Click Invite. PingTab shows the message, with the app link in it.
  3. Click Copy message and paste it to the driver on WhatsApp. Or click Open WhatsApp to open a chat with the message already typed.
  4. Click Done.

The driver's page now says Invited. When they sign in to the app it says Has the app.

PingTab never sends the invite itself: it goes from your phone, to someone who already knows your number. Not sure it arrived? Click Invite again.

You can also click Invite on the driver's row in the Contacts list.

Plan: everyone. Next: Send the driver their booking.

Bookings and guests

Create a booking on the dashboard

Make a booking in under a minute. It goes straight into today's list.

  1. Click Bookings at the top, then New booking.
  2. Set the pickup date and time.
  3. Give the booking a name, for example the guest and where they are going.
  4. Click Create booking.
  5. Next to From, click Add. Type the pickup place, the guest's name and their mobile, then click Add Pickup Point.
  6. Next to To, click Add. Type the drop-off place and click Save.

The booking opens on the right and shows in the list for its day. The "Get this booking ready" card says what is still missing, such as a driver.

Only the date and time are needed to hold the slot. You can add the guest and the places later, as you learn them.

Plan: an active plan or trial with credits left. Next: Send the driver their booking.

Send the driver their booking

Your driver gets the booking on WhatsApp: pickup, time, guest and their own driver link. No app needed.

  1. Open Bookings and click the booking.
  2. In the Ready checklist, find Send Suresh the booking (your driver's name).
  3. Click Show message if you want to read what the driver gets.
  4. Click Send on WhatsApp. WhatsApp opens with the message ready. Send it. No WhatsApp on this computer? Click Copy message and paste it into any chat.
  5. Come back and click Mark as sent.

You will see "Sent to Suresh on WhatsApp", with who marked it and when. Home stops reminding you about this driver. Sent to the wrong person? Click Undo.

Drivers who use the PingTab driver app get the booking on their own. The row then turns done when they open it.

Plan: everyone. Related: Assign a driver, Send the guest their tracking link.

Leads and Inbox

Answer new enquiries in your Inbox

Your Inbox puts the enquiry that needs you first, so you always know who to answer next.

  1. Click Inbox. Enquiries are grouped: Needs you on top, then Waiting on the guest, then Gone quiet.
  2. Click the newest enquiry under Needs you. It opens beside the list.
  3. Click Take this lead. The enquiry is now yours, and your team can see that.
  4. Call or WhatsApp the guest with the buttons next to their name.
  5. Click Mark contacted, then Mark contacted again to save. You can add a note first.

When it worked, the enquiry reads Contacted and moves down to Waiting on the guest. Scroll down to see the pickup, route, fare and the guest's details.

Plan: everyone. Next: Quote a fare and turn a lead into a booking.

Quote a fare and turn a lead into a booking

Once the guest says yes, one click turns their enquiry into a booking, with a tracking link ready to send.

  1. In your Inbox, open the enquiry.
  2. Agreed a different price on the call? Click Change fare (or Set fare if there is no price yet), type the price, and click Change fare to save.
  3. Click Confirm booking, check it, then click Confirm booking again.
  4. You see Booking created, with the guest's tracking link and a message to send on WhatsApp or by email.
  5. Click Open the booking.

When it worked, the booking opens with the agreed fare and the enquiry's number. Next, assign a driver.

Changed your mind on the price before confirming? Click Change fare, then Use the site's fare.

Plan: everyone. Each booking uses credits for its service days on a plan that counts them. Related: Answer new enquiries in your Inbox, Assign a driver.
