Tour packages, a fixed price for a whole tour
Sell a tour you planned, day by day, at one price per car.
A tour package is a trip you plan: where it goes, what happens each day, and how many days it takes. You set one price for each car. The guest reads the plan, picks a car, and books it.
Every other service works out a price from the distance or the time. A package does not. The price is the number you type.
Two kinds of tour
| Kind | What happens |
|---|---|
| Outstation | The guest moves from city to city, and the driver stays out with them |
| Local | The guest stays in the base city. The car works out from it and comes back |
An outstation tour can end in a different city from where it starts. The guest's quote then says where they are picked up and where they are dropped, so nobody expects the car to take them home.
What you write
- Starts in: the city the tour leaves from. It must be a city you serve.
- Where it goes: the places on the plan, in driving order. Guests search for these.
- Ends in: for an outstation tour that finishes somewhere else.
- Duration: the number of days.
- A description for each day, and pictures.
Or start from the Template catalog under Packages, and change what you need.
The price
A tour's price is a price list of its own: one fixed price per car. It goes through the same rules as every other fare: your tax, your night charge if the pickup is at night, and a flat toll if you set one (lesson 5.7).
The guest sees what is included and what is not, in plain words:
- "Pickup and drop in" your city, or "Pickup in" one city and "Drop in" another.
- On an outstation tour, about how far the planned route drives.
- Not included: hotels, meals and entry tickets on an outstation tour; meals and entry tickets on a local one.
You can add your own lines under these, for this tour.
Where guests find it
Each tour gets its own page on your site, at an address that never changes, even if you rename the tour. Your booking form also gets a Packages tab. The guest picks the city they start from, a pickup place and a start date, then filters by where the tours go and how long they take.
You choose how the list looks: Site editor, then Booking form. Pick Package, then car, Package and car in one list, or Package sheet.
Package or local tour?
| Tour package | Local tour | |
|---|---|---|
| Who plans it | you | the guest |
| Priced | your fixed price per car | on the distance driven, plus waiting |
| Days | one or more | one day in your city |
| On the booking form | Packages | Local, then the tour |
Paid at the end
The price covers the plan. Travel the guest asks for that is not on the plan is charged at the rate per km you set on the tour. It is listed under "Not included", so the guest knows the rate before they book. Tolls and parking are collected at the end only if you set them to be paid at actuals.

Common questions
Why can I not put a tour on my site?
It has no price yet. A tour with no price has nothing to show a guest, so your site never shows one.
Can I take a tour off my site for a while?
Yes. Open it and click Take it off the site. Its page and its price stay saved.
I sell tours from two cities. Do guests see both?
Yes. On the Packages tab the guest picks the city they start from first, and sees that city's tours.
Can I stop tours in one city only?
Yes. On What you sell, switch off Tour packages in that city (lesson 2.7).
