Switch services on in each city, rename them, set their order
Choose what each city sells, and what guests call it.
What you sell is set city by city. You may do round trips from one city and only airport runs from another. The names guests read are set once, for your whole business.
The switches
Open Sell, then What you sell. Each city has its own row of switches:
| Switch | What it sells |
|---|---|
| One way | City to city, no return leg |
| Outstation | Multi-day, returns to this city |
| Hourly | Blocks of hours with a distance included |
| Point to point | One drop across town, priced on the distance |
| Local tour | Start, a few stops, and back. Priced on the whole loop plus waiting |
| Tour packages | Fixed-price tours that start in this city |
Each switch saves at once. There is nothing to publish. Switch a service off and your site stops showing it in that city.
Publishing a tour's price switches Tour packages on in the city it starts from. Switch it off to stop tours in one city, without unpublishing them.
Airport is not on this screen. Each airport has its own switch, under Where you sell (lesson 2.5).
A switch is not a price
A service that is on still needs a rate card. Under each city, click Set prices for this city (or Prices for this city once it has some). With no price, guests can only send you an enquiry for that service.
A city marked Hidden is not on your site, whatever its switches say. Put the city live under Where you sell (lesson 3.1).
If a city has nothing switched on, it says so: "Nothing is switched on here yet, so this city takes no bookings."
Names and order
Above the cities, Guests see them in this order lists your services as your site shows them. Your site starts with the words guests in your country search for: a round trip is Outstation, point to point is {guest_p2p}, a local tour is Local sightseeing.
Click Rename or reorder to change them:
- Type your own name in a service's box. Leave it blank to keep the standard name.
- Use the arrows to move a service up or down. Your booking form's tabs follow this order.
- Click Save names. They are live on your site in about a minute, with no publish needed.
- Reset to standard puts every name back.
A name can be 40 characters long. Past 16, the app warns you: "Long. This wraps the booking tabs on a phone." Two services cannot have the same name.
Renaming changes only your booking site. Your dashboard, your rate cards and your prices keep the standard names. Each service's web address stays the same too, so links you have shared keep working.
Do it
- Open Sell, then What you sell.
- In each city, switch on what you sell there, and switch off what you do not.
- To change what guests read, click Rename or reorder, make your changes, and click Save names.
Common questions
Can a service have a different name in each city?
No. One name each, the same in every city. One service with two names would put two tabs on one booking form.
I switched a service on but my site does not show it.
Check three things: the city is live, the service has a published price, and you are looking at that city on your site.
My dashboard says Outstation, my site says Outstation. Same thing?
Yes. Your dashboard uses the same names in every country. Your site uses the words guests in your country search for.
Can I put Airport first on my booking form?
Yes. Click Rename or reorder and move it to the top.
