Hourly rate card
Sell the car and driver by the package, for a block of hours.
Hourly is sold as packages: a block of hours and km for one price. The guest does not say where they are going. They see your packages and pick one.
The fields
One row per package. A car can have several.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Package price | The price of the package. This is the fare. Required |
| Hours | Hours in the package, whole hours |
| Km | Distance in the package |
| Extra hour | The price of each hour past the package. Required |
| Extra km | The price of each km past the package |
The fare = Package price. Nothing else is added up front.
Extra hour and Extra km are not in the price. Nobody knows at booking how long the guest will keep the car. They are shown to the guest under "Not included" and the driver collects them at the end.
How the fare adds up
Sedan with two packages: 4 hours / 40 km at ₹1,400, and 8 hours / 80 km at ₹2,400. Extra hour ₹250, Extra km ₹14.
The guest sees both and picks the 8-hour one:
Paid at the end
The guest keeps the car 10 hours and drives 95 km. When the trip ends, the driver collects:
Common mistakes
- Short package at half the long one. A 4-hour package usually costs well over half an 8-hour one: the car is still out of service for most of the day. Price each package on its own.
- Guests far outside the city. For hourly, a guest too far away is asked to send an enquiry instead of booking (lesson 5.9).
Do it
- Open Sell, then Rate cards, and pick Hourly for the city.
- For each car, add a row for each package you sell: Package price, Hours, Km, Extra hour, Extra km.
- Click Publish.
