Cities you serve

A city is where your cars start. Most services on your site are sold per city: one way, round trip, hourly, point to point and local tour. Airports are a separate list (lesson 3.2).

Add a city

You pick the city from our list. You never type it. That way every price, page and booking for it points at one place.

Each city gets its own pages on your site. A new city arrives Hidden, so you can set its prices before any guest sees it.

Copy prices from another city

If you already sell somewhere, PingTab offers to copy those prices into the new city. They arrive as drafts, unchanged. Edit what is different, then publish. Nothing reaches a guest before that.

Tick the services to copy. A one way copies its per km rates only. Its route sheet names the first city's destinations, so you write the new city's routes yourself.

Live

The Live switch shows the city on your site straight away. There is no publish step for it. Turn it off to take the city's pages down. Its prices and bookings are kept.

A city with prices on it cannot be removed, only hidden. Old quotes still point at its prices.

Default

Your site opens on one city: the Default. It is the first live city in your list. Guests can still pick any other city you serve.

The fare starts in the city centre

One way, round trip and hourly fares are priced from the city centre. Where in the city the guest is picked up does not change the fare. A pickup far outside the city can add the extra drive (lesson 5.9).

Do it

1. Open Sell, then Where you sell.
2. Under Cities you serve, click Add city, search for the city and click it.
3. To start from prices you already have, pick the city and click Copy from it. Or click I will price it myself.
4. Open Rate cards, check the new city's cards and click Publish on each.
5. Back on Where you sell, turn on Live for the city.
6. To have your site open on it, click Make default under its name.

Common questions

I turned Live on but the city has no prices. What do guests see?

The city's pages, and an enquiry form instead of a fare. Price it first.

I cannot turn Live on.

Your plan's live cities are in use. Hide another city first, or upgrade.

Can I delete a city?

Only before it has prices. After that, turn Live off.

My city is not in the list.
