Terms on every card
Tax, night driving, tolls and notice: the settings that change every fare the same way.
Every rate card, whatever the service, has the same terms at the bottom. They are added after the service's own price, in this order.
Night driving
From and Until set your night hours, 22:00 to 06:00 by default, in your city's local time. The Night charge is set per car. If the pickup is in your night hours, it is added once to the booking, as "Night driving allowance".
Night driving after the first night of a long trip is settled with the driver at the end (lesson 5.8).
Toll, parking, permits
Each one is either in the fare or paid by the guest:
| Choice | What happens |
|---|---|
| In the fare | You pay it. The guest sees it under "Included" |
| Guest pays at the booth / at actuals | The guest pays what it costs, on the day. Listed under "Not included" |
| A flat amount, in the fare (toll only) | A fixed toll amount added once to the price |
Inter-state permit is an Indian charge. It only shows to guests in India.
Tax
| Choice | What happens |
|---|---|
| Already in the fare | The total does not change. The breakdown shows how much of it is tax |
| Added on top | Tax is worked out on the fare and added as its own line |
Set the rate your business charges. The tax is named for your currency: GST for rupees, Australian, New Zealand, Singapore and Canadian dollars; sales tax for US dollars; VAT for everything else, including pounds, euros and dirhams.
Rounding
Every line is rounded to the whole unit of your currency before tax.
Minimum notice
Minimum notice before pickup: None, 30 minutes, 1 to 6 hours, 12 or 24 hours. One hour by default. A guest asking for a car sooner is told the earliest time they can book.
How the fare adds up
The 2-day round trip from lesson 5.3 is ₹7,800 before terms. GST 5%, night charge ₹250, flat toll ₹400, pickup at 05:00.
