Chat with guests on your site
Let guests message you from any page, and answer them from your Inbox.
Plan: everyone with a booking site
Some guests want to ask before they book. Chat lets them type a question on your site, and you answer from your Inbox, on the dashboard or the PingTab Ops app.
What the guest sees
With chat on, a Chat with us button shows on every page of your site. The guest opens it, types a message and sends it. They are not asked for a name or phone first, so asking is easy.
A little later the panel offers Send my number. The guest can leave a phone and a name, or press Not now.
When chat is on, your WhatsApp button moves inside the chat panel. Guests can still reach you on WhatsApp from there.
What you see
The message lands at the top of your Inbox straight away, with an unread count. A guest with no name shows as "Guest". Your reply reaches the guest's open panel without them reloading the page.
If the guest left a phone, you can turn the chat into a lead: open it and click Create lead. The lead gets the guest's name and number, and links back to the chat. A chat needs a phone to become a lead, so you have a way back to the guest.
Alerts
You get an alert for each new chat message. To choose what you hear about, open Settings, then Notifications, and use What to notify. On the PingTab Ops app, alerts are set in your phone's settings for the app.
Do it
- Open Sell, then Chat.
- Turn on Guests can message you from your site.
There is nothing to publish. The button shows on your site within a minute.
Turn it off the same way. The chat panel leaves your pages, and conversations you already had stay in Inbox. You can still reply to them.
