Where your cars collect guests
List the places in a city you collect from, so regular guests pick their own area.
Under each city on Where you sell is a short list: the places your cars collect from. A suburb, a village, a business park. A regular guest picks their own area instead of the whole city.
What the list does
On your site, the guest picks a place in the From box. It is offered for one way, round trip, hourly and local tour bookings.
The list does not change the fare. Those fares are priced from the city centre, whichever place the guest picks.
Adding a place
Type its name. We know most suburbs and villages around a city, and suggest the ones nearby before you type. If we do not know a place, add it by name. Guests still see it.
A map pin is optional. Without one, the place is offered and booked the same way. Only the tracking map has less to show.
Anywhere in the city
By default the From box also offers "Anywhere in" the city. That suits most operators.
Turn on Guests must pick one of these places if you only collect from the places on your list. Then a guest who is somewhere else has to call you, so keep the list complete.
Guests outside the city
A guest who lives outside the city can still book. On the booking's Details step they give their exact pickup. If it is far from the city, the rate card decides what happens: add the extra drive to the fare, or ask for an enquiry. The first 15 km of extra drive are free, unless you change it. Lesson 5.9 explains it.
A pickup near a place on your list is measured from that place, not from the city centre. So adding a far suburb to the list tells your site you collect there at the city fare.
Do it
- Open Sell, then Where you sell.
- Under the city, in Where you collect guests, click Add a place.
- Pick a suggestion, or type the name and pick it from the list.
- Add the next place, or close the box.
- Optional: turn on Guests must pick one of these places.
Common questions
The list says guests are collected from anywhere.
You have no places yet. That is fine: the whole city is offered.
There is no list under my city.
The city sells none of one way, round trip, hourly or local tour. Switch one on in What you sell.
What about airport areas?
They belong to the airport's own rate card (lesson 5.6). They show under the airports, not under a city.
