How a rate card works

Draft, publish, change a price later, and start a new city from one you have priced.

A rate card is your price list for one service in one city, or for one airport. Your site quotes guests from it. Each car you sell has a row on it.

Where to find them

Sell, then Rate cards. Cards are grouped by city and airport. Each one shows its service, its state and its date:

BadgeWhat it means
DraftYou are still working on it. Guests do not see it
LiveGuests are quoted from it now ("Live since" a date)
ScheduledPublished, and it goes live on a date you set ("Live from")
ReplacedAn older version. Kept, because old quotes still point at it

A service you sell with no card shows as Not priced. Guests asking for it get an enquiry form, not a fare. Click Price it.

A car on sale that a card does not price never shows in that card's quotes. The card's row names the missing car.

Draft, then publish

You type prices into a draft. Save draft keeps them for later. Publish makes them live. The next guest who asks gets the new price. You do not need to publish your site again.

A published card is frozen

A live card cannot be edited. A guest who already has a quote keeps the price they were given.

To change a price, click Start a new revision. It copies everything into a new draft. The old card stays live until you publish the new one.

Discard draft throws a draft away. The live prices stay as they are.

Live from

Live from sets when a card starts. Leave it empty to go live the moment you publish. Set a date to change prices ahead, for a new season for example. Until that date, the current card stays live. Then the new one takes over by itself.

A new city from one you have priced

When you price a service in a new city, PingTab asks where to Start from. Pick a city you have already priced and click Copy from it, or click Start empty.

Copied prices land exactly as they are, as a draft. Rates, per-vehicle terms, extra charges and policy come across. A one way's route sheet stays behind, because it names the other city's destinations.

Common questions

I published, but a guest was quoted the old price.

They asked before you published, or your card has a Live from date still to come.

Can I undo a publish?

Start a new revision with the old numbers and publish it.

What is the Name field?
